Cream Cheese Sausage Balls

This appetizer is like a mini sausage and cheese biscuit. It is portable and tasty. East to make as it is to eat.

This is a very old fashioned recipe I decide to revive and add a few extra ingredients and I added sour cream to make it really soft and light yet easier to form into the balls. Once these get baking the fat from the sausge helps baste them and works perfectly.

Sausage Balls


1 lb mild sausage

3/4 cup Bisquick

2 cups cheddar cheese

1/4 teaspoon onion power

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

8 oz package of cream cheese


Preheat oven to 375

combine all the ingredients in a bowl mixing well. Form into walnut size balls. Place on a ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool 10 minutes before serving.
