White Wine Alfredo Sauce
White wine sauces are so versatile and delicious that you can use them to create literally hundreds of dishes like this simple one.
I am not sure why I hadn’t tried this before. I always bought the Alfredo sauce in the jar at the grocery store. I made this sauce and it is a revelation. It tastes so delicious and rich. The best part is that it is so easy to make I am almost embarrassed to share the recipe with you. You could add chicken for more protein or eat exactly the way I made it. I used tagliatelle pasta. I kind of wished I used fettuccine. I think the photo would have looked better with the fettuccine noodles instead.
But I digress.
You can use any pasta you like with this sauce. In fact there are a few white wines you could choose too. What I wouldnt suggest is using a cooking wine. They are full of added preservatives and just are not good at all. You should get a wine that you would drink. The best part is that this recipe uses only 1/2 a cup. The rest you can enjoy with dinner.

White Wine Alfredo Sauce
Ingredients:
1/2 cup white wine
2 garlic cloves minced
2 cups heavy cream or half and half
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
In a medium saute pan add wine and garlic cook on medium until reduced by half. Add heavy cream, pepper and salt. Bring to a low boil and reduce heat to medium low and allow to simmer for 8-10 minutes. Add cheese. and cook another 2-3 minutes or until cheese is completely melted.
Serve over noodles.
Peace be with you,
Veronica
Just wanted to say, your Alfredo sauce is the proper way to make it.
The wine reduction sets it apart from the rest.
If you had any other great recipes you wanted to share?
I would love to try them. Thanks.
I also have what I’ve been told is the best Caesar dressing ever!
If your interested.
I would like to try you Caesar Dressing. Thank you.
This looks wonderful! I am not a white wine drinker so would you please make a couple recommendations? Thanks in advance.
May I ask the brand of white wine you used
