Sausage Balls
These savory Sausage balls are generally served during the big game, but why stop there? You could serve these tasty hours d’ oeuvres anytime. They are stick to your ribs delicious and everyone just loves them.
The original recipe for these savory treats has been around since the 1960’s. There are now so many variations to choose from. You could change up the sausage or cheeses, anything goes. I like mild sausage but you could make it with the hot stuff. I also like to grate my own cheese. I like the texture of cheese I grate myself. You could add some herbs and spices too. You could also change up the cheese and see how you like it. either way take this recipe and make it your own.
The dipping sauce is fantastic if you have all the ingredients. Sometimes I just love to dip them in some good old barbecue sauce!

Sausage balls
Ingredients:
1 lb bulk sausage
2 cups cheddar cheese grated
2 cups Monterey Jack cheese grated
3 cups biscuit mix
2 tablespoons chives
1/4 cup parsley
3 tablespoons milk to combine
Dipping Sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix sausage, cheese, biscuit mix, chives, parsley, and enough milk to combine. Mix with hands until combined. Roll into balls. Bake for 18-20 minutes. Allow to cool for 5 minutes. Serve with dipping sauce.
