Hi everyone, I cant believe a whole month has passed by.
It is again time for Secret Recipe Club.
I got Melissa’s Blog Melissa’s Cuisine.
I decided to make her Roasted Chicken.
Melissa is a twenty something married gal from West Michigan.
She is a avid runner, I guess you would have to be to keep up with her adorable pup Champ.
This Roast Chicken is moist and flavorful. You can never have enough roast chicken in your recipe box. This one is definitely a winner.
Roast Chicken
1 roasting chicken
3 tablespoons margarine
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic
black pepper to taste
1/2 lemon
1 medium onion
After removing from the package rinse the bird. and pat dry with paper towels. In a medium bowl mix margarine, poultry seasoning, garlic, thyme, and black pepper. Slather all over the bird.
Put the lemon and the onion inside the cavity of the bird.
Roast the bird in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Peace be with you,
Veronica
Beautiful golden chicken! Just perfect for the fall weather.
Thanks for choosing this recipe Veronica–I’ve nearly forgotten how good it is and it’s always great to see an older recipe pop up. I’m glad you enjoyed it 🙂
