Steak Salad and Your Best Recipes

I made this last week, when it was 80 degrees.
This morning it snowed. It didn’t stick, but it did snow. It rained a lot too.

I think I saw Noah loading the Ark with animals one by one.

Does anyone know what is going on with this crazy weather?

Is it to much to ask not to have to cut my heat on and off?

This is one of those recipes that scream summer. If summer ever comes, you should try to make it. Maybe you should try to make it now, it may remind you of summer too. Yeah, I think we could all use a little bit of summer right now.
I like this recipe so much, I have decided to team up with Nancy over at Spicie Foodie and submit it for my Your Best Recipes. Here are the requirements.

4 cups mixed greens
1 cup heirloom tomatoes, cut in half
4 ounces Gorgonzola, coarsely crumbled
Red Wine Vinaigrette, recipe follows
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1 pound steak ( I used leftover London Broil that I chilled and then cut up)
Red Wine Vinaigrette:
1/2 cup red wine vinegar
3 tablespoons lemon juice
2 teaspoons honey
2 teaspoons salt
Freshly ground black pepper
1 cup olive oil


In a large bowl, combine the greens, tomatoes, and half of the cheese. Toss the salad with enough vinaigrette to coat. Season the salad with salt and pepper, to taste. Arrange the salad on a platter. Cut the steak crosswise into thin slices. Arrange the steak slices atop the salad and sprinkle with the remaining cheese. Drizzle more vinaigrette over the steak slices and serve.
