There are many things that resemble Mary on this day. Just to name a few, flowers, the colors blue and white, fruit, herbs, vineyards and plants. Do you see a theme here?

Yes?

Well, maybe because it is also a harvest feast day. It is traditional for the priest to bless the flowers and fruit on this day. In many Catholic countries today is the day the Vineyards, herbs and plants are blessed.

This light and refreshing drink is perfect on a hot summers day. The term Agua Fresca¬† means “fresh water” in Spanish. The trick to making the perfect Agua Fresca is to infuse the water with the fruit and herbs without turning it into a slushie or smoothie.
